Mallorca Hit List

Having spent a few months living in Mallorca and exploring what this glorious island has to offer, I thought it would only be right to put together a little hit list of some fab ‘must visit/eat at’ spots I discovered on the island. Make sure to save this one for your European travels next time this year.

Beach, Cala Llombards, Mallorca

Beach, Cala Llombards, Mallorca

Cassai Gran Cafe - Head south to the delightful village of Ses Salines to embrace everything Cassai has to offer. The Gran Cafe has been stunningly curated, giving a real sense of escapism. This restaurant is everything and more, from the food to the decor, get lost over brunch here before heading over the road to the concept store, selling the most unique and beautiful pieces of unique homeware and trinkets, clothing, and coffee table books (to name just a few things).

Cassai Beach Club - A combination of lunch and lounging, the Cassai Beach Club was a fab little hub we found which worked really well for us in terms of balance. We were able to enjoy lunch with our laptops out and do some work, with a view of the beautiful and exclusive white sandy beach with crystal water that was awaiting us to unwind on at the end of the day. A really nice spot to work and relax all at the same time. Of course, you don’t have to do the work bit if you’re here on your holibobs.

Bar Sa Ximbomba - The best pizza in town! This hidden gem has got to be on your hit list. From a crazy looking menu, choose from a salad the size of your head, a pizza to get your tastebuds tingling, deep fried cheese with sensational tasting fig jam or chicken strips smothered in what looks to be a questionable sauce but turns out to be so deliciously rich in flavours you can’t get enough. Pick a board game, get cosy for the night and chase it all with a tequila (or two) at this cute, quirky and fun little spot.

Bar Cafe Coto - Traditional Spanish tapas, with plenty of options for vegetarians also… a gem in Palma and if it’s tradition you want, it’s tradition you’ll get.

Surry Hills - Pop into the Old Town and grab a real coffee. All the way from Australia, this place is serving the best refreshing ice latte’s and cortado to go or sit in with a slice of cake too. You can wander from here through the winding streets of Palma exploring even more.

Bar Abaco - Not to missed, although easily missed as it’s hidden behind a big old church door. But with its wacky interior and bizarre fruit-themed decorations this bar is easily one of the most unusual nightspots in the area and definitely a sanctuary worth checking out to enjoy a cocktail at.

Soller - Travel back in time with the train from Palma to Soller. Travelling through the gorgeous greenery and idyllic settings that Mallorca has to offer, before arriving in Soller, this is a really fun and different experience. A quick escape from the hustle and bustle of Palma, this is one of the more quirky things to experience whilst in Mallorca.

Puerto Portals - Amongst the super yacht's down by the Port you’ll discover a variety of restaurants, some with high price points and some more reasonable. Such a great spot to sit and people watch at though, as well as checking out Diablito for their famous Chilli con Carne and other Mexican inspired dishes!

There are so many more amazing places in Mallorca for sure, but these are just a few of my personal favourites. If you find anywhere new and think I might like to try it too, please do share it with me, I love discovering and trying new places.

Enjoy your travels to Mallorca, it is the best island in the Balearics and keep me posted on what you think of my hit list!
